Heartbreaker
The pain in my chest
says I nearly walked
the fields of Elysium.
It radiates to my back,
down my right arm,
and I wonder if they
would have let me into
Valhalla without my
sword. I left it behind
that dark and crimson
night to run up a lie.
I was satisfied with
mosaic vision. This is
when I become
interesting. Gravity
won over my muscles
and dragged me down
and down to hell as I
screamed my penance,
Take me up, Father
Take me up, Father
Take me up, Father.
